Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on October 1, 1995. She is best known for her acting appearing on screen in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) and Chrissie Mair's Content House.

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an extended family of actors and filmmakers. Both are careers she herself has been pursuing. Her debut came at the age of nine years old, in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni (1985). She played the leading role in Cristina Comencini's Zoo (1988) as well as a part of Michele Savi's 1989 film The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, was her role as Nanni Moretti's daughter. Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) is the year that Asia truly began to take off. It let her progress from roles that were primarily young girls to more complicated, mature characters. The film was given a positive response during the Cannes International Film Festival. The Phantom of The Opera is the third film she has made together with the father of her. Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome were the two previous films. The year 1995 was the first time she was in a role alongside Michel Piccoli as Traveling Companion in the film Peter Del Monte. This part earned her an award from David di Donatello (for the top actor) as well as an award from Grolla in Oro. Asia started directing in the year 1994, and produced two shorts: Prospettive (1996), an account of her father's life and her mother, as well as Abel/Asia (1998), a film about the cult filmmaker Abel Ferrara. The latter received an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia's first feature length film debut was Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999, where she also was the lead actor and wrote the screenplay. In May 2000, the movie was made available both in Italy and around the globe. The film was released on Brooklyn, New York it received an award from the Williamsburg film festival. Anna Lou was her first born child in the year 2001. After the directing of several music videos she had Anna Lou. In 2002, she appeared involved in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action thriller together with Vin Diesel. Asia is the author of several short stories, that were published in various magazines.
